The latest research in the field of cognition, brain health, sleep, hypnosis and nootropics

Hi, welcome to Sleep And Hypnosis

We're here to help with every aspect of brain health and nootropic research, including cognition, neurology, sleep, hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

We exist to make brain science accessible. Our work explains how memory, attention, mood, and motivation arise from real biology, synapses, neurotransmitters, blood flow, inflammation, and what the best evidence says you can do to influence them. We translate peer-reviewed research into clear, practical guidance for people at every stage of life, from students and working professionals to older adults maintaining cognitive health.

Our research reviews start with the data. We search primary literature, screen studies against explicit inclusion criteria, and summarize results with an eye to study quality, effect sizes, dose ranges, and safety. Where possible, we compare findings across randomized trials and high-quality observational work, note heterogeneity, and separate what’s plausible from what’s proven. We also publish emerging work in neuroplasticity, sleep biology, metabolic health, and nutrition, and update our conclusions as new results replicate, or fail to.

What you’ll find here are research-based practices, and plain-language summaries of mechanisms. Our guiding principles are simple: methodological rigor, transparency about uncertainty, clear conflict-of-interest policies, and practical recommendations.
